Carolyn H. Blue

Carolyn H. Blue concentrates in Longshore defense and representing industrial employers. Her extensive background includes regulatory, insurance industry, lobbying and private practice experience. Blue practiced primarily Longshore defense litigation with Moseley, Warren, Prichard and Parrish and was a partner with Tally, Roberts & Blue before joining the Tecklenburg firm. She is a former assistant insurance commissioner of Louisiana, where she served on the Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association board of directors and the State Health Insurance Association board of directors. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ appointed her to its National Task Force on Health Insurance. At the National Council for Compensation Insurance, she directed public affairs working with insurance commissioners and legislatures nationwide.

Blue is admitted to practice in the states of South Carolina and Florida, and before the federal courts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She earned an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest, her master’s degree from Louisiana State University and law degree from Stetson. The Maritime Law Association appointed her to its national Longshore and Stevedoring Operations Committee. She is a member of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.

She has served on the Wake Forest National Alumni Council, and also served as an Alumni Chapter president. Active in historic preservation organizations, she serves on a museum board.
